0800 043 6644Hugues Lambert, a prominent French architect, was charged with creating the Lyon area's ultimate championship layout, and his 7,200 yard par 75 effort does not disappoint. Testament to this is the fact that Le Sangliers was selected for the 2001 French Open, which saw Ryder Cup legend Jose Maria Olazabal emerge victorious.
The Lyon Golf Club's Sangliers Course is not for the half-hearted - this is a championship course in the purest since. What is not in doubt is the inherent quality of the course and its surroundings; though it may be more famous for its food and wine, Lyon can also make for a superb golf holiday.
Les Brocards a Par 72 course that also measures approx 7200 yards, has a lot of charm be don't be fooled by appearances, being the 2nd course to Les Sangliers doesn't mean its easy to play. This course is a true test for any golfer, with a very long Par 3 and many dog leg holes which will mean you will have to place your ball well.
The Course was inaugurated in 1964 and is favoured by many of the members of Lyon Golf Club. The course also received the Open de France in 1979 and other international events of the European Tour, including the Italian Constantino Rocca in 1993 which set the course record.
