Immersed in the Tuscan countryside, UNA Poggio Dei Medici boasts lavish accommodation, based around the 16th century Villa di Cignano. With views out over the golf course and the valley beyond, it's a spectacular place to stay, the multiple swimming pools and three great restaurants only add to the experience.

Poggio Dei Medici is ranked as one of the best courses in Italy
The accommodation at the Poggio Dei Medici resort is typically Tuscan, based around the 16th century Villa di Cignano, where the low rise blocks are capped with terracotta tiles. The 70 hotel rooms are divided between 5 separate courts, or blocks, giving the resort an intimate and private ambience.
Looking out across the golf course, guests will be met with views through the valley and towards the foothills of the Appenines, while inside the rooms there is a fantastic marriage of traditional character and contemporary convenience.
All rooms are decorated in the customary style of Tuscany, and are equipped with satellite television, telephone, safe deposit box, mini-bar, air-conditioning and a luxurious bathroom, complete with hairdryer and bathrobes.
Respective blocks overlook different parts of the estate and the golf course, but all ensure complete comfort, and this all-encompassing resort is among the finest destination for a golf holiday in Italy.
In 2004, the brand new club house overlooking Lake Cignano was opened, and its facilities are available to hotel guests. Tough course very gripping rough and need to be able to hit on the up or down slope. Long course would definately advise using buggies.
The toilets at the course are not in use.
Course was lovely but a bit hilly for pull trollies. Very few people playing so it was very relaxing
