0800 043 6644The championship Hawtree Course was designed around the natural hazards and mature trees of the 19th century parkland in which it sits, bringing both charm and intrigue to the course. The greens and tees have been designed in line with USGA specifications, adding a touch of class to this lovely layout. Rudding Park has recently unveiled a new routing on its 18-hole Hawtree Course that takes inspiration from Augusta National.
As at the Georgia venue, the Yorkshire club’s own ‘Amen Corner’ on the 12th, 13th and 14th holes sees fairways and greens cut through mature woodland. Rhododendrons replace the azaleas and dogwood, with Rudding Park’s own version of Rae’s Creek coming into play on two holes. The signature 14th hole, aptly named Rhododendron Glade due to the flourish of colour surrounding the green during summer, is a 163 yard par 3, the green on which is well guarded by three bunkers at the front with another hidden from view to the right. The hole, which plays uphill and into the prevailing wind, is a challenge for golfers of all abilities with the undulating green making par no easy score.
The Repton Short Course offers ‘Golf in one Hour’ with six very different par 3 holes including a replica of the famous island green 17th at Sawgrass. In addition to both golf courses, a team of resident PGA Professionals, cutting edge practice facilities and an 18 bay floodlit driving range make Rudding Park the ultimate golfer’s venue.
Rudding Park sits in 300 acres of beautiful parkland 3 miles south of the beautiful spa town of Harrogate. The Grade I listed Regency house incorporates 21st-century comforts by fusing contemporary design with traditional elegance and offers a range of experiences.
The stylish 90 bedroom hotel also features an award winning spa, gym and 14 seat private cinema. If food is your passion, then look no further than Clocktower, with daily menus using local, seasonal ingredients served in stunning surroundings. Choose from a selection of relaxing settings to enjoy the finest cuisine from the bar, restaurant, conservatory or terrace. Or experience contemporary fine dining at the three AA Rosette Horto Restaurant which offers the Chef’s Menu, a seven course tasting menu with the option of wine pairing, or the Choice Menu.
Rudding Park has achieved numerous accolades, including being voted Best Hotel in England (Visit England Awards for Excellence 2018).

Fantastic hotel, really impressed with every aspect of the hotel. Our room was comfortable but not as nice as the rooms at The Mere. All staff were warm, friendly and welcoming and could not do enough for you. The little touches make a difference - on check out the concierge enquired if we had a long drive and followed that up with the offer of some water for the journey. Great hotel, one of the best, we will be planning a return trip.
Fantastic Hotel and complex, wonderful staff and excellent food in the restaurant
Been organising away trips for 8 years (2 a year). This was by far the best. I could not fault anything (only the weather on our second day!!) 16 ladies and we cannot wait to go back.
Excellent lovely 4 star hotel the facilities were top notch and the food and good natured staff helped every thing run smoothly
The rooms are fantastic and very well equipped, great breakfast choice and fantastic dinner menu in the Clocktower restaurant
Superb hotel in every sense, new spa facility is excellent, all hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Restaurant is good, ask for a table in the conservatory.
Firstly the Hotel is absolutely top quality. Staff are outstanding and there is a huge number of them so you will never be short of service. Rooms beautifully furnished and equipped. Lovely swimming pool and sauna. Food in the Restaurant for Dinner was excellent and plentiful breakfast. Only quibble was the quality of the coffee at Breakfast but this was rectified in moments with a freshly made Americano. Golf Course is pleasant and well maintained, if not overly challenging.

Great place Bit strange the pro shop wasnt always open When they were they were very supportive and helpfull
The course is set up for men so quite hard in winter conditions for ladies when there is no run on the ball. I would only want to play it again in summer conditions
We enjoyed the course but the tees were a mess.
Overall experience was good but the green to next tee was a fair walk at times, greens were on the slow side but that could be the time of year
Course brilliant the green so hard to read a thinking course. Will be back.
Great parkland course.
We have played this course on a number of occasions. Our latest round was on the 17/1/20 - the course was very wet although the green held up well. For this time of the year, the course was as we expected.
Fantastic course, very long par 4’s for ladies. Overall experience was very good
Well informed as to going to the next tee. Half way house brilliant, well stocked. Greens lovely and smooth.
24 golfers in our party everybody said they enjoyed the course best scores were two 45 points by 2 low handicaps so plays a bit long would recomend a buggy long way between holes but very enjoyable
Two great rounds and the course was in excellent condition. The pro staff even keeps your clubs and or trolley and put them out for the next day.
Greens had recently been sanded and tined so were a little slow and uneven. Course otherwise was excellent, back nine really good holes, 13,14 and 15 particularly enjoyable. This was our second visit, third will be later this year
Pleasant course in good nick, but not overly challenging. Tough to remember too many of the holes. Short 17th probably the pick.
