PGA National (Champion course)
23rd - 26th February 2023
The Honda Classic is the PGA Tour’s first event on the Florida swing at PGA National Resort at Palm Beach Gardens. Historically, the tournament has not always attracted the biggest names but in recent years many of the modern greats have turned out to make this event one of the most exciting on the current calendar.
Since its inception on the tour in 1972 the tournament has moved around some of the best courses in the state and has some of the best players in history etched on it’s trophy including the likes of Jack Nicklaus and Lee Trevino. More recently, green jacket winner Adam Scott has lifted the trophy and former world number 1 Rory Mcilroy has also been victorious since the event moved to PGA National.
With one of the best stretch of finishing holes in the country, players can’t put both hands on the trophy till the final putt is sank on the 18th hole on Sunday afternoon.

Measuring in at just 7,048 yards it is by no means the longest course on the calendar. The closing set of holes dubbed the ‘Bear Trap’ players must rely on both power and precision in order to safely navigate the course.
Originally designed by Tom and George Fazio, PGA National has played hosted to the final major of the year back in 1987 and the fiercely fought Ryder Cup of 1983 which saw the USA just edging to victory by 1 point.
